A beautiful dark timber with lighter shading throughout the grain. Walnut looks fantastic on its own but can also create contact products when mixed with lighter products such as ash.
Ash can vary in colour from white to beige. The timber has high character grain and is extremely durable for use on interior products. The light colour means that ash can easily be stained to darker shades without losing any of its appeal.
Distinct from its European counterpart and a little less durable. An excellent timber for interior joinery, and stairs as well.
Generally sourced from Germany, beech is usually a light orange in colour with an attractive grain and is best suited for interior joinery.
Sourced from France, Germany, Belgium and a small amount from the UK, European oak is one of the most durable species, therefore is suitable for external products. Its natural colour and attractive grain makes this oak extremely appealing. However, due to its lighter shade, over exposure to the elements without regular treating can see areas of the timber turn dark.
Iroko is similar in appearance and has the same properties as teak. Iroko is one of the most durable timbers available because it contains natural oils and actually needs no preservatives. Its colour is internally dark yellow but deepens to a rich brown. A beautiful exterior timber which shows its best character with clear sealant.
A durable and cost effective soft wood, light in colour with knots throughout its grain. Scandinavian redwood is a popular alternative to more expensive hardwoods and is commonly used for all interier and exterior painted products.
*As with all natural products there will always be some colour variation and movement.
